I was about to retire when I came across an article about Bob Wood and BobsCNC. I’ll never retire now. The connections to their group and craving for knowledge has literally changed my life. In 1980 I started a small furniture manufacturing business. In 1990 I started a computer company. Today at 66, I've combined the 2 trades I love most and it's a blast. Thank you Bob!

Floating Dust Boots
Please make note that I now include a hose camp. This is used instead of the 3 holes in the suction tube if you like.
The Evolution Dust Boot has a lift of 1-1/2". That's divided into 2 sections equally.
The Quantum Dust Boot has the same lift as the Evolution but it's divided into a taller mid-section and a shorter top mount section.
That's it, they are fixed
When the router goes down to cut, it puts pressure in the Z axis, if the brushes are touching. And they need to touch to create suction. Now, when it goes down for the second, third, forth.... pass, it's creating more pressure on the z axis. This upward pressure causes all kinds of problems. Backlash, Uneven cuts, Loss of steps, Loose bearings, Binding, Uneven Lines. Eventually the pressure is too great and a catastrophic accident occurs. Floating or Telescopic is best
